My comments: Precious story in which Mo Xuanyu gets kicked out of Koi Tower to find upon his return that his mother had twins: Mo Ying and Mo Zhan. Who are bubbly/talkative and stone-faced respectively. Mo Xuanyu adores them (it’s mutual), and they’re the only bright light in his life besides Xue Yang’s visits. Mother eventually dies and Mo Xuanyu raises the boys by himself (with Xue Yang’s help whenever he drops by). Plot weaves in and out of canon. Mo Xuanyu realizes pretty quickly that the boys are different versions of Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji and protects them all the more fiercely for that.
